Discover the Varberg Half Marathon in Varberg, Sweden. This varied city route winds through residential districts and green corridors, featuring long stretches in parks and urban forests such as Påskbergsskogen, Furubergsskogen, Brunnsbergsskogen and Håstensskogen, plus a coastal segment past Apelviken, Subbe lighthouse and Kusthotellet. A climb up Hästhagaberget rewards you with ocean views before you return toward the competition center. The half marathon is a certified 21,097.5 m course; a certified 11.5 km option (11,555 m) shares the start and finishes at the competition center—follow the clearly marked split. Expect mostly paved footpaths/cycleways and gravel exercise tracks, with brief sections on low-traffic streets. Larger roads are crossed at grade; some minor junctions have officials. Run Varberg’s neighborhoods and woods on a fast, scenic route.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Pick up either the day before the race day (Friday) at the Friskusstugan from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM or at the competition center on the race day from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM.
How do I get to the race location?
It is easy to get to Friskusstugan by public transport. The nearest stop is Varberg Österängsvägen. The stop Sjukhuset Varberg is also close by. Search for your trip on Hallandstrafiken's website . There are good train connections to Varberg along the West Coast Line (e.g. from Gothenburg and Halmstad) and from Borås. With a valid train ticket from Öresundståg or Hallandstrafiken you can travel free by bus in Varberg.
