The Media Maratón Internacional Santa Cruz de Tenerife is an annual event that takes place in the capital city of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The event began in 2003 and is organized by the Tenerife City Council and the Tenerife Athletics Federation. The marathon is an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) certified event and is part of the IAAF Road Race Label Events. The route takes runners through the historic streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and along the stunning coastlines of the city. The marathon is a celebration of Tenerife’s culture and heritage, with traditional music and entertainment at the start and finish lines.
